We started our first day of the Kindergarten book drive this morning and the kids were PUMPED! They didn't mind that it was cold because they wanted to help raise books for other kids in need! This group is so fantastic!
Author Gail Goldberg came back to visit our classroom! She talked about the writing process & how she got the ideas for all of her published stories. The kids got to make their own books while she helped! They absolutely loved it. Check out her website here: http://www.gailgoldbergbook.com They are growing up SO fast! After!
This makes tooth 3 for this little kiddo! ![]() Alex's dad came in to speak to the class about Charity, Water. His own business donates a percentage to this particular charity & in return it helps build wells in countries where clean water is unheard of. The kids were amazed at the fact that there are people in this world who have to walk miles & miles to get clean water to drink. We discussed what charity meant & how it could mean to donate supplies, money, toys, or even to volunteer our own time to help others in need. They then made the connection to our Atlanta Academy Cares Program family (The Rivas) & to the kids we helped during Christmas time over in Africa (Project Canaan).
These 15 adorable faces make each day at work that much better.
I love these faces of "Wait.. Could it really be?!?" What a great book with a very sweet ending! Two very happy ladies!
